30th ANNUAL UNITY PARADE
Thank you for your interest in the 30th Annual Juneteenth Celebration Unity Parade. Your continuous support allows our organization to maintain a 30-year tradition in the City of Springfield. As we continue to expand there have been modifications to the parade process this year. Please know it is in the spirit of establishing Springfield as the Home of Juneteenth!

When: Saturday, June 15th, 2024
Where: Capitol City Elk's Lodge (1809 E Brown St, Springfield), Heading North on Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Blvd and finishing at Comer Cox Park.
Time: Line up begins at 9:00am. Procession starts promptly at 10:00am
Parade Guidelines​

All persons in the parade group will need to be garbed in logo-adorned/identifiable attire of the registered.

Any items given to parade participants must be HANDED out and NOT thrown per our insurance policy.

All vehicular entries including cars, floats, trucks, etc. must have 2-wheel watchers for the front tires.

No explicit, derogatory, and/or vulgar music, attire, and/or signage is permitted.

Float Sponsors and Business Entries may not conflict with the Juneteenth, Inc. event sponsors. In all cases, Juneteenth Inc. must approve the business and products displayed and advertised.

Individual walkers, vehicles, and any groups that have sponsors provide funding, services, and/or materials to the group shall NOT put the sponsors’ names on the parade float/entry unless the sponsor is a Corporate Sponsor or Business entry.

All parade participants shall receive email notice of their application acceptance, parade lineup times and their prospective staging area one week prior to the parade.

Please note the parade starts on time, rain, or shine. So don't get left behind!
**Applications deadline is Saturday, June 1st**
Late entries are considered if space is available and application fees received.
